Thurley at LMFF

At 9pm last night, Melbourne's fashion crowd sat down to a performance by Bertie Blackman before velvet-clad models in Levante stockings strode onto the stage. Introductory entertainment over, Thurley was the first label to work the show. Hemlines at L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) Runway 3 were longer, dresses more suitable as night time fare. Thurley brought pitch black and sparkling silver into glittering harmony; some modern cuts, some more flapper inspired.

Megan Park at LMFF

Megan Park injected some exoticism into last night's L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) Runway 3 show. Metal studded tights and scarves gave an ethnic touch to outfits, paired with rich colours and folkish embroidery.

Bottega Veneta Pourpre Intrecciato Shiny Calf Bag

bottega210.jpg
I can't get enough of Bottega Veneta bags lately. It's the only classic brand that updates its collection each season with hip and edgy styles without compromising its core values. I see Bottega as a good brand for bag snobs who aspire to Hermes but is not yet ready for the price points and the slightly mature styles. Take this delicious Bottega calfskin bag-- I saw it at the showroom and was smitten with its buttery skin (Kelly ordered the large tote version). I love that it has both the iconic woven leather plus on trend grommets lining the bag and handles. I wouldn't go so far as call this bag trendy, however, it still has a timeless quality. This is a bag I'd "grab and go" with daily-- it will lend a heavy does of style to any outfit. Easy, chic and beautifully made. Everything you want in a bag!

Zippora Seven beach babe

Kiwi model Zippora Seven has a sort of grungy appeal that's kept her in business - though admittedly mostly in publications from Australia and New Zealand. This time it's for Aussie Yen Magazine's 42nd issue, in a beachy shoot titled bay bay, baby.
